My dog keeps throwing up yellow bile for days. What could it be?

My 6 year old shit Tzu has been throwing up yellow bile two - three times a day for the past three days, what could cause this

Poor Alfalfa! I'm sorry to hear that he isn't feeling well. There are quite a few different things that could cause vomiting like this. He may have a GI problem such as pancreatitis or an intestinal obstruction; a systemic illness like liver or kidney disease; or may have gotten into something toxic.

My usual rule of thumb for vomiting is that if it continues for more than 24 hours, a vet visit is needed - even if he is acting normal otherwise. A mild upset stomach should resolve itself within a day or so, so if he has been vomiting for the past three days, I would be concerned that something more serious may be wrong. I would recommend taking Alfalfa to the vet for an exam as soon as you are able to - he/she can do blood work and x-rays to help diagnose the problem and get him started on appropriate treatment.
