I recommend to have Sadie seen by her veterinarian to have that lesion examined. Just like with people, any skin lesion that continues to open up, heal and then open up again is suspicious for a skin cancer. Also like which people, the doctor may need to remove the lesion or take a sample of the lesion to know what it is. Treatment will depend on the results. Continue to protect the lesion from trauma.
I hope this helps to point you in the right direction and please feel free to post any additional questions.
