My dog is doing something strange. Is this behavior normal or concerning?

I would be concerned though if he is causing himself any skin lesions or wounds from the licking which in that case it could be from allergies and should be addressed. Otherwise, he is likely going to be just fine. Good luck and have a great day!

Your pet may be crawling on his stomach to stretch his belly out, or he could be doing it to try to itchy his belly. If the skin seems irritated at all, like red or has hair loss, Mr. Brown Oreo may have itchy skin on his stomach that he is trying to relieve. If his skin is normal and he is otherwise acting normally, I would not be concerned. I hope this is helpful!

No he is likely just itchy in that spot. This is no an uncommon response in dogs to being scratched in an itchy place. Especially if he is normal at all other times. I hope this helps and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach!

Bleu maybe rubbing his face on his treats due to excitement, to mark his scent on the food, in the wild dogs do this to tell others in their pack where the food is, it could be a form of resource guarding or simply because he just is so happy and loves treats! I wouldn’t try to read in to it too much! Hope this helps!

That behavior does sound a little bit strange, and I'm wondering if he may be painful in his back end, like his hips or spine, or there could be a problem with his anal sacs (impacted). I do think this is worth a vet visit, so I would take him into one in the morning. Best of luck.
