My dog's stomach is rumbling loudly. Should I take her to the vet?

Loss of appetite can be observed with many conditions such as gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, kidney disease, pancreatitis, among many other possibilities. I recommend that you have Mawi evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They would be able to check for these possibilities and others depending on the findings on exam. Hello. If Bromley is sleeping well, then it is probably not an emergency. If he were to start breathing very heavily, retching, pacing, drooling or acting at all painful, then you do need to have him looked at. But upset stomachs do occur in dogs. He may vomit, or have a day or two of diarrhea, but as long as he is eating, drinking & seems fairly normal & active, these things are pretty much self-limiting. If Bromley, however, seems at all unwell, or you are really concerned, it never hurts to have things checked out as soon as possible. Is your dog acting sick or nauseated in any way? Like refusing to eat, drooling excessively or trying to eat grass? If not, then I would not be too concerned. It is normal for the gut to make sounds while digesting the food. If however your dog is acting ill then you may want to post another question with specifics so we can further help you out. If the signs are not persistent and are gradually resolving, there is no need for a veterinary consultation at this stage. Continue with the same diet in small portions for the next 48 hours. I would definitively recommend a veterinary check up if the signs persist or you notice diarrhoea, vomiting, lethargy or inappetence.

This is similar to our stomach "growling". As long as she is not experiencing signs of vomiting or diarrhea, and she is acting herself and eating well, I would not be concerned!
