Is my dog with a staph infection on antibiotics still contagious?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | 1 year and 4 months old | 56 lbs

My dog is currently being treated for a skin staph infection. He’s been on antibiotics for three days. Is he still contagious to other dogs?

Most dogs with staph infections are not considered contagious unless they are infected with MRSA or have a staph infection due to an infectious condition (like ringworm). I recommend to call your veterinarian and clarify is Rotor at risk for a contagious form. I hope this helps.
