Why does my dog have sores on her belly and around her vulva?

You can try to use a medicated shampoo containing chlorhexidine twice weekly for 2 weeks. If there is no improvement or in the meantime this appears to be getting worse, have her evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. It may be the picture but I am concerned that there may be also a lump as well. If that is the case, that should be evaluated to know if it is actually a growth. Good luck and have a good night!

Hi there. From your photos, it appears that Pepper has some mild infection of her skin. This can be caused by an allergy to something, or allergy to food. Bacteria likes to invade skin that is inflamed and a small infection will develop. I would recommend taking Pepper to you vet for an exam and skin testing. It looks like she has a pyoderma which is a skin infection. She should be examined and treated by your vet as she may need an antibiotic to treat the condition. In the meantime, you could bathe her with a medicated shampoo, like Douxo Chlorhexidine shampoo.

Good Evening...thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I am sorry Ebony is having some trouble, I know how worrying this can be as a pet parent! From the picture, it looks like Ebony has a skin infection (superficial pyoderma) . Since the infection seems to be in multiple areas so it is likely that Ebony will need to visit the veterinarian so she can have prescription medications. This will likely consist of both antibiotics by mouth and possibly topical therapy. I hope this information helps, good luck and I hope Ebony gets the relief she needs soon! :-)

It looks like he could have a bacterial skin infection which could be related to allergies. You could bath him with a medicated dog shampoo and see if that helps. Otherwise, have him examined by a vet for treatment. He may need an antibiotic, anti-histamine, and/or a corticosteroid to help.

The one on her stomach looks like a collarette. these can occur secondary to an infection from allergies or getting scratched or bitten by something that cause irritation. The ones on her back are small scabs/pustules. These do benefit from antibiotics along with a medicated shampoo. You can give a bath once a week to help keep the coat and skin rinsed and cleaned. You can apply neosporin to the large one until you can get to a vet
