My dog has a sore back and walks with hocks low. What's wrong?

Pet's info: Dog | Border Collie | Male | 2 years and 4 months old

My dog is sore over L 6/7 he also walks with his hocks very close to the ground what could be causing this

The gait you are noticing could be caused by the fact Trick is painful; so basically could an antalgic posture and gait. Alternatively if the problem is neurological, a sciatic nerve weakness could be the reason for it.
I would recommend an immediate check up to determine the cause of the problem especially to determine if it is due to a neurological problem or more an orthopaedic one. Physical and neurological examination are needed to understand that.
