Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! If only on one side, this could be due to an abscess for example. I recommend that you have Doc evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. If this is confirmed to be an abscess, they may drain it and then prescribe antibiotics. Good luck!

At that age a salivary problem is not common but always a possibility. It may be a small abscess or fibrous tissue from where it is trying to heal. If this is not painful and he is able to eat and drink I would monito it for any changes. If it gets bigger or starts to drain or he stops eating then I would take him to your vet.
