Dog's leg swollen, won't walk, and has a snake bite. Is it serious?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | English Mastiff | Male | unneutered

My girlfriend and i just arrived home to feed our dog and noticed he's gotten himself in a pickle. His right leg is stiffened/swollen and he won't walk on it. His left leg appears to have a snakebite of some sort on it with the area around the bite also being swollen. I did some light research and i don't believe it was a venomous snake. Suggestions, please?

I don't know what type of research you did but i would not be able to tell by the bite if it is a venomous snake or not, i strongly recommend taking him to the emergency right away as a snake bite can easily be deadly within a few hours.
