My dog's skin tag is bleeding and refilling with blood. What to do?

I wouldn't call this a skin tag based on appearance alone, but it's still possible. I think it's more likely a sebaceous adenoma (a benign skin mass), but the only way to positively identify it is to surgically remove it and send it to the lab for analysis. I recommend talking to your veterinarian about the possibility of doing this. It may be that the mass has been injured or become infected. I would recommend to wash it with antibacterial soap daily and you can apply a topical antibiotic. I would still recommend to get Roscoe to the vet as early as you can. The doctor may recommend to have the mass removed and tested. Please post again with any future questions and I hope this helps!

These growths look like skin tags in the pictures. We can never be 100% certain without a biopsy. If they keep breaking open and bleeding then I recommend removing them. The reason for removing them is just to stop him from scratching them and having them break open. Otherwise just keep the growths clean. If the bump has been oozing puss and blood it is best to have your Vet re-evaluate it to either: 1) shave the fur, clean it and provide antibiotics or 2) discuss removing it since it has changed and now may continue to be a source of irritation and infection for Cooper. It could be a little skin tag or wart. I recommend keeping an eye on it and take her to the vet if it abruptly changes size, color, texture, etc., as this can be a sign that it should be removed. The next time she is in for a routine visit, show it to your vet so they can assess it and determine if it should be removed.

This lump/bump/growth should be ideally examined by your local vet to have a diagnosis established. Your vet may want to perform an FNA (fine needle aspiration) or a biopsy to sample the bump and determine its underlying nature. Differentials would include skin cysts, infections, benign or more malignant type of tumors. Disinfection may be started at home with very diluted hibiscrub or betadine or salted water baths. Buster collar may be useful as well to avoid any licking. I would highly recommend taking Bella to a vet for an aspirate as soon as possible. My concern if the mass gets bigger and smaller is a possible mast cell tumor. This is a type of skin cancer and the mass should be removed. Your vet should be able to place a small needle into the mass and look at the cells under a microscope to determine what it is. IF the mass is only a cyst/non cancerous growth it does not have to be surgically removed. However if you feel like it is hurting her/causing discomfort I would recommend removing it
