My German Shepherd puppy shaking head and scratching. Ear infection?

These are classic clinical signs of an external ear infection, or otitis externa. I recommend bringing Brigg to your veterinarian at their next available appointment for an exam. Your veterinarian can perform an ear smear of any debris in the ears, and look at this under a microscope. Most ear infections are either bacterial and/or yeast infections, treated with topical medications. I hope this is helpful!

I would recommend having Frank examined by a veterinarian. The vet can look into Frank's ear to make sure nothing is stuck in the ear canal and to see if there are signs of an ear infection. Skin infection, mites, and allergies are all possibilities. I would encourage you to have her evaluated by your veterinarian again soon. More long term medication may be needed for Sally.
