My dog has a sensitive belly. What are the symptoms to look for?

I find that dogs really like them and they are fairly inexpensive. They also seem to help with cleaning the teeth a bit. Have a good day!

I would start by initiating a bland diet and then feed this at least 3 days beyond the resolution of the vomit. Once it is resolved, I would transition back to the dog food. If the vomiting and decreased appetite begin again, I would do the bland diet and then transition to a completely different dog food altogether and see if this helps. If this does not help, then I would have the veterinarian examine Kuma so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. I hope this helps! Hi there and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to address your concern. Cash may be dealing with a food sensitivity and the chewing of the paws may be allergy related. His discomfort in his abdomen may also be related to the diet. I would recommend switching to a sensitive stomach formula food and see if this helps. I wold recommend Science Diet or Royal Canin formulas. Feed either diet for 4 weeks and if no improvement, I would then recommend an abdominal ultrasound or x-rays. I would also consider adding in a probiotic such as Purina Fortiflora, which can be found online or at your local PetCo. I hope this helps! It may be a simple stomach upset, or more serious condition called pancreatitis. A painful back can also reflect as a painful abdomen as a dog draws up the abdomen trying to protect the back. If there is any retching, vomiting or diarrhea tonight, he should be seen on emergency. Lethargy and anorexia (not eating) are very non-specific symptoms of illness meaning almost any sickness can cause these signs. They don't point to a specific problem. I suggest you have him to your vet for an exam and some blood testing to start with so you can find out what the underlying problem is.
