Pet's info: Dog | Flat-Coated Retriever | Male | neutered | 10 years and 10 months old | 95 lbs
My dog has had a growth on the skin of his shoulder for several years, which grew to the size of a grape., likely a sebaceous cyst. My vet did take a sample years ago and I knew it was benign. Over the weekend, after it started oozing black material, I pressed it and expressed lots of black or grey gunk. It is now a deflated little skin sack. My question is do I need to take him in to the vet and what will they do if I do? It seems fine. and I will clean it and watch for infection.
