I just found out the freshly frozen sardine fish I’ve been given to my dog for 3 years have been soaked in brine solution for 20 minutes at -18 Celsius temp. Could the salt she has eaten these years causes any kidney or liver issue? Her last blood test was last December, liver reading normal, urea on the high end but vet say it might be due to her raw diet as her urinalysis and SDMA was normal. No kidney disease symptoms. I’m going to buy fresh sardine from now on, no brine solution.
