How to deal with mice in my house when I have dogs and no poison?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

I have mice in the house. We live near a farm. I tried traps glue posts and nothing gets rid of all. We have three dogs. I cannot use poison. They chewed chocolate candy in the cabinet. Help

Oh no! You are definitely correct that you should stay away from any poison. You may try live traps or the traditional snap traps. You also need to seal up any areas where mice are getting in the house as well as securely put away any food that may be attracting them. If none of this works, you may need to contact a professional exterminator.
If chewing the chocolate candy is recent, please post any additional information again. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.
