Is it safe to give my dog apple slices as a healthy chew treat?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 1 year and 2 months old | 10.6 lbs

Is it safe to give my dog a slice of a red apple? She likes to chew so I figured it would be a treat she could knaw on.

Yes, you are allowed to give her a slice of apple to play with and eat as a treat. Other nice treats would be boiled carrot pieces, cucumber pieces and melon pieces, green beans. Definitely healthier than commercial treats,
