My dog has red spots and is panting. Is this serious or heat-related?

Roc needs to be examined by a vet. The spots you are seeing could be caused by a range of things, including fleas, mange, lice, infections (bacterial or yeast), ringworm, allergies, among others. She should have a skin scraping to check for mange mites, which are common in young puppies. If you are at all concerned that Roc is having trouble breathing, then this should be considered an emergency and she should be evaluated immediately. A change in breathing sounds or pattern could be caused by pain, anxiety, heart, or lung disease, etc.

Anytime a dog is in respiratory distress it is a medical emergency. Increases in respiratory rate, breathing fast, or difficult breathing are both medical al emergencies. Bee’s skin lesions could be due to many things including the heat, allergies or a bacterial infection. You can wash the areas daily and rinse them well. You must make sure he does not lick the areas as this will make it worse (an elizabethan collar can prevent this). An omega 3 fatty acid supplement for dogs can help as well.
