Why are there red spots on my dog's bed? Is she in heat or bleeding?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | unspayed | 1 year old | 44 lbs

This moning I found these red spots on the sheet where Spica sleeps, I honestly don't know where they came from, should I be worried? I tried to find an answer from internet , maybe it could be from fleas but I don't know all I want is the wellbeing of my Spica.

Poor Spica. There is a good chance that she is in heat if she hasn't been spayed. I would look at her vulva to see if it look swollen and if there is a little bloody discharge from there. If not, then I would have your vet take a look at her to see if she is bleeding from anywhere else especially if you see it again on her bed. I hope this helps!
