Why does my dog have red and black rashes on her belly in summer?

Looking at the lesions and considering the history of this occuring in Summer, I suspect that this is a rash developing in response to allergic reaction to pollen in the grass during the summer months. Bee’s skin lesions could be due to many things including the heat, allergies or a bacterial infection. You can wash the areas daily and rinse them well. You must make sure he does not lick the areas as this will make it worse (an elizabethan collar can prevent this). An omega 3 fatty acid supplement for dogs can help as well. Hi, it looks like Buddy has inflammation of the skin, possibly secondary to an allergy . He might also have a secondary bacterial infection. It would be best to have him checked over so that he can have some medications to help his skin settle. Hope this helps and that Buddy gets better soon !

Your dog could be suffering from an allergy, mites, fleas, a bacterial or fungal infection. each of these requires a different treatment, so it is important to find out what is causing the itch. take your dog to a veterinarian or Pet ER for a skin exam. lease take your dog to a veterinarian for a skin exam. Your vet will do a thorough exam and maybe a a skin scrape. He will then discuss the options with you and then prescribe medications, possibly give an injection to stop the itching.
