Is my dog's purple, fleshy stomach growth that deflated cancerous?

This looks very abnormal. I would be worried about this and I think you should have him seen by a vet. Could be ringworm, a staph bacterial infection, a spider (or other insect) bite, an autoimmune disease or the start of a cancerous lesion.

This lump/growth should be ideally examined by your veterinarian to have a definitive diagnosis. Your vet will examine it and possibly perform with an FNA (fine needle aspiration) or a biopsy. It's concerning this lump has gotten bigger, and it could be a cyst, a benign growth, or a malignant growth. Any suspicious lumps should be examined by the vet. The vet can perform a test called a fine needle aspirate on it. To do this, the vet sticks a small needle into the lump to get a sample of its cells, and examines the cells on a slide under a microscope. This mass certainly looks concerning. As it is growing, there is a suspicion that it is likely a malignant mass. I suggest you schedule an appointment with your veterinarian for an exam and a so-called Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) where your veterinarian takes a small amount of tissue from the mass with a fine needle. This is usually not painful and will help determine the type of mass and whether it needs to be removed surgically.

The picture you posted does not look like a pimple, so I am worried that it is actually a mass. Anytime a new mass is noticed, I always recommend having it evaluated to see what it is and if anything needs to be done about it. Unfortunately, we often can't tell anything about a mass by just looking at it. Your vet can perform a simple test called a fine needle aspirate where they use a small needle to collect some cells from the mass, then look at them under the microscope. They may even need to send the cells to the lab for a pathologist to examine them, so we know what the mass is. If it is benign, you might not need to do anything about the mass at all, but if they see cells that worry them, they might recommend removing the mass.
