I definitely think you need to see a veterinarian. While some dogs can have a slight decrease in appetite at the beginning and end of pregnancy it would not be normal to have to force feed a dog. Depending on when she was bred a veterinarian may be able to check for pregnancy with ultrasound or an x-ray, but there is unfortunately not a blood test for pregnancy in dogs. Luna may need to have some other diagnostic tests performed to determine why she isn't eating.

I would take her into a vet as soon as possible for a physical exam, routine blood tests, and urinalysis to diagnose if she does have a UTI. Should she have one, the vet can prescribe medications to treat it. As for seeing if she's pregnant, she needs to be at least 21 days along in order for the hormone relaxin to show up in her blood. Relaxin is produced by dogs when they are pregnant. Since your dog was recently in heat and is now showing signs of illness I would recommend having her checked out by your veterinarian as soon as possible. It does sound like from your description that Shiloh could be pregnant again. The best way to confirm this is to take her into the vet for an exam. If you have an idea of when she was mated, then the vet can run tests to get a closer approximation of how far along she is in the pregnancy. For example, a blood test looking for the hormone relaxin can be done starting at 22 days gestation. If she is further along in the pregnancy, then x-rays and an ultrasound can be done. Given her age, I would start saving now for the chance she may need a c-section. That's because older dogs can have more difficulties giving birth due to age, and it's best to be prepared for that now both financially and emotionally. I would also recommend getting her spayed after this litter. It's never recommended to breed dogs older than 6-7 years of age, and spaying her would prevent future litters from happening, as well as eliminating the possibility of a pyometra (a life threatening infection of the uterus). I would take Shiloh into the vet tomorrow for an exam :-)

No, you can't assume that just because Kenzi is still interested in male dogs means that the mating was unsuccessful. Female dogs will continue to mate during their heat cycle, and you won't know if the mating was successful or not until at least three weeks after their mating. She will stop mating when her heat is over. I would wait at least three to four weeks, and then take her into the vet. The vet can do a blood test or use an ultrasound to see if she is pregnant or not. Best of luck.
