My dog is pooping blood, throwing up, and lethargic. What to do?

Poor Tiny. If Tiny is not fully vaccinated then I would be very suspicious that he may have contracted Parvovirus. He needs to be seen by a vet immediately and tested for Parvo. If he is fully vaccinated then hemorrhagic gastroenteritis is his condition and this is often caused by dietary indiscretion and/or stress. The treatment is typically oral antibiotics from your vet, probiotics and a bland diet (Hill's I/D or boiled plain chicken and rice or cottage cheese). Until you can get him seen you should try to keep him hydrated by offering small amounts of Pedialyte (non-flavored) and Pediasure. You can also offer him some probiotics (Culturelle over the counter) to help combat the diarrhea with blood. But it is best to get him seen right away, because if he did contract the parvovirus then he needs medications (antibiotics, fluid therapy, supportive care) from your vet to treat his condition.

Vomiting blood is serious. The GI upset could be due to many conditions including eating something she shouldn't have, bacterial over growth, parasites (worms and giardia), poison, a bleeding disorder, pancreatitis, cancer or intestinal blockage. I recommend to have your pup examined by the veterinarian today. Try to remember to take in a stool sample. The doctor will check her for parasites and bacterial over growth and other diagnostics may be recommended as well. She needs the correct diagnosis in order to receive appropriate care. Loss of appetite and vomiting can be observed with many conditions such as gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, kidney disease, pancreatitis, among many other possibilities. I recommend that you have Layka evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. You can offer a bland diet which may help. This diet could be composed of rice, boiled chicken, ham, turkey, lean hamburgers or low fat cottage cheese.
