My dog's penis has chronic foul discharge and swelling. What to do?

If you are seeing insect activity on Judge's body, whether it is the penis or anywhere else, there is an extreme infection and necrotic tissue that needs to be debrided by a veterinarian. This is not something that should wait until tomorrow and should likely be dealt with this evening at an emergency facility. The foul odor you are smelling is not the penis itself, but the infection and toxins that are being released from it. The vet is going to have to investigate what has happened, in terms of an underlying cause for the swelling and necrosis. As for cancer, it is impossible to know this without diagnostic testing from a veterinarian. Cancer of the genital organs in a young dog would be somewhat uncommon but not impossible.

Chico could have a urethral prolapse, an infection or some type of trauma to that area. He needs to be seen by a veterinarian as soon as possible. Without treatment that tissue could become dead/necrotic, he could have trouble urinating which leads to other issues like kidney failure as well as long term damage like scarring. Do not give him any human medications as it can be toxic to dogs. Keep him from licking at the area and remove and discharge with a warm, moist, clean cloth.

Dylan's prepuce is very swollen and appears infected and shows a lesion. This can happen if he licks it a lot, bacterial infection can cause that and also a type of venereal cancer called Canine transmissible venereal tumor or Sticker sarcoma. I suggest you make and appointment with your vet to have your dog's external genitalia examined. Depending on the findings your vet may prescribe antibiotics or an ointment for treatment of the condition. In the meantime, if you have an e-collar, put it on Dylan to keep him from licking, as this will only make it worse.

This looks like a localised spot of skin infection which can be easily treated its antibiotic and antiinflammatory ointment on prescription from your veterinarian. The fact that he is licking his paw as well can be due to an allergy, which possibly can be considered in case infection is not resolved with treatment trial. Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Jiggy! I am concerned that the swelling in his groin is a lymph node, a mass or an inguinal hernia. I recommend having an ultrasound or an X-ray to see if it is a hernia. If it is not a hernia and they think it is a lymph node or a mass then have a fine need aspirate (FNA) or sedated him to do a wedge biopsy of the swelling/mass.
