Bleeding from the penis can be caused by injury, infection, bleeding disorders (tick disease, auto-immune, toxin), urethral prolapse, urinary stones, among a few other causes. If the penis does not go back into its sheath where it belongs, you need to try to help him by using a water based lubricant such as KY jelly. You can mix it with sugar to help reduce swelling and gently pull the skin over it to protect it. Unfortunately, he needs a vet examination so we can find out exactly what is going on so that the appropriate treatment can be started.
