Should I worry if my dog pants at bedtime and needs to go out?

my dog a beagle 7 years old, he tends to pant when its time to come to bed, i let him out to do a poo or wee Aand this stops the panting is this something to be worried about??

Panting can be a sign of excitement in a dog, so he may be excited to go outside and then come to bed. Given this is the only time he does this, and the fact that letting him stops the panting, I would not worry about it :-)
