Why is my dog not eating dry food and peeing inside when alone?

Poor Riley (and you!)! Riley could be urinating in the house because of a medical issue, such as a urinary tract infection, crystals in the urine or bladder stones. Behavioral stressors, such as a change in her normal routine, can trigger inappropriate urination in some pets. As a first step, Riley should be seen by her vet and have a urinalysis performed to check for the presence of infection and crystals. A urinary tract infection requires antibiotics and crystals may require a diet change. If medical issues are ruled out, consider using a calming pheromone diffuser or collar (Adaptil is one example).

I would recommend bringing Charles to the veterinarian to be checked out. I would want to make sure he doesn't have anything medically going on with him because of what he is doing. There are a multitude of issues that can cause urinary accidents, including urinary tract infection, bladder stones, kidney disease, diabetes, and more. If the vet rules out a medical cause you can discuss if this is an anxiety issue or a loss of potty training. Anxiety is sometimes treated with oral medications. In mild cases a pheremone product like the Adaptil collar or diffuser (available online and at some pet stores or vet offices), thundershirts (also online and at stores), and oral supplements like Composure and Zylkene. I would recommend to rule out something like an infection in Presley's bladder before you give up on her. Since she can't talk, you don't know the reasoning behind this behavior. The veterinarian will look at her urine sample to see if there are any abnormalities which may cause this behavior. Go from there. If it does look to be more behavioral, speak with a trainer, read some books about housebreaking difficult dogs. Most dogs can be properly housebroken but not all learn in the same fashion. Poor Bella. This may be behavioral or there may be something going on causing her to have accidents. I would first want to rule out any medical issues. I would have your vet take a look at her and check her fecal for parasites including giardia and campylobacter as these can cause a loose stool and even just an increased urgency to go to the bathroom. I would also have them check a urinalysis to ensure she doesn't have a urinary tract infection (UTI), UTIs commonly causing them to have accidents in the house. If everything is normal, I would start back at basics with training. I personally like to crate train dogs because I feel like it works the best. I will attach more info below.
