Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Female | spayed | 7 years and 9 months old | 65 lbs
My dog went under anesthesia for teeth cleaning and dental work. She also had a small tumor removed from her eyelid area. Molly is an otherwise almost 8 year old healthy lab. The operation was 4 days ago. Her appetite is good but she refuses to drink water. She is fed canned dog food which I have started mixing in water. Is this unusual. Should I be concerned?

As long as she is able to completely swallow the water and has no other signs of a fever (lethargy, hot ears, panting, vomiting, restless behaviour) I would not be overly concerned. This may be a side effect of the anaesthetic or even the medication she has been prescribed. Continue to monitor for any additional signs
