New pet food causing problems? Should I reintroduce old food mix?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Cavalier King Charles Spaniel | Female | spayed | 5 years and 2 months old | 17 lbs

Hello, would you go back to feeding half the old food and half new food for a while to see how that goes or just continue with the new food?

Now that you have made the transition over to the new food I would stay with the new one for at least a week.

If Chloe has profuse diarrhoea, starts to vomit or seems in pain or depressed it could be that something else entirely is going on. If this is the car pleas post again so we can help you or take her into the veterinarian if you are urgently concerned.
