My dog has neurological distemper. What are his chances of survival?

Pet's info: Dog | Boxer | Male | unneutered | 5 months and 4 days old | 26 lbs

My dog is at neurological stage of distemper, he wants to eat his food but he can't open his mouth for some reasons and i have to feed him with syringe, he is 5 months now and can't walk does he have a chance to survive

Dogs which develop the neurological stage of distemper have a very poor chance of functional recovery and in the rare cases they do survive for any length of time tend to have permanent neurological side effects and seizures. Euthanasia is recommended to prevent further suffering and prolonged starvation
