My dog got Lysol in its eye. Should I rinse it? Will it go blind?

This could irritate Rocket's eye. Gently rinse the eye with cool water, and monitor it. If the eye becomes red and irritated, there is a discharge from it, he keeps the eye closed and has trouble opening it, and/or he rubs at it, have him seen by a vet. I hope this helps!

If Cora is acting perfectly normal, I would keep an eye on her for now. If her eyes become red, you see discharge from her eyes, she rubs at her eyes or face, or you notice increased sneezing, then I would take her into an ER vet immediately. Wash her face off with cool water. I hope this helps.

This could definitely be a problem, since ear medications are not formulated for use in the eye and can be very irritating. If you have some plain saline eye wash on hand, flush his eye out immediately - then, I would recommend having him seen by a vet as soon as possible. The biggest risk is that he may develop a corneal ulcer, which can be severe in some cases and could cause permanent damage or vision loss. Your vet can evaluate the eye to make sure that all of the medication has been rinsed out, and will probably send you home with prescription eye meds to help heal the cornea if there is an injury.

The protrusion of the third eyelid is common when the eye is in pain. I'm a bit worried that the saltwater may have caused this if the salt content was too high. Saline is a salt water solution, but is balanced in a certain way. I only recommend flushing the eye with saline (can find at the pharmacy or supermarket in the eye care section). His eye should return to normal within 24 hours if it was not badly damaged by the soap or salt water. If his eye still looks abnormal after two days, then it would be best to have a vet examine him. You could rinse his eye out with an eye wash or some artificial tears, like GenTeal drops. If his signs continue then he needs to be examined by a vet to determine the cause. He could have an infection, scratch, ulcer, or foreign material in his eye and your vet can stain his eye to evaluate his cornea for damage. He may need an antibiotic eye drop and other medications to treat. Hope he feels better soon!

Poor guy. He needs his eyes flushed copiously with eye irrigating solution. You can find this over the counter. It is a potential that he could develop a corneal ulcer due to the chemicals from the spray. Blindness is a potential but it is preventable as long as you monitor this closely. Monitor his eyes for redness, discharge (yellow/green), or irriation (pawing at the face). Have Bruno seen by your vet right away if these complications develop. For future, the fipronil sprays are not the best to use for tick prevention. I would instead recommend the Seresto collar, or oral flea/tick prevention (Nexgard, Bravecto) from your vet. For acute bites, you should use tweezers to remove the tick (must get the head and mouthparts) entirely. I hope that your fur baby Bruno does well moving forward. Take care! : )

Rinse Sam's eye with cool water as well. Monitor it for redness, swelling, discharge, or pain. He would show pain by keeping his eye closed as much as possible and/or rubbing at his eye. If you see any of those signs, have him seen by a vet. Best of luck.
