My dog acts like something's in throat, licks air & chokes on water.

This does not sound like a breed-specific issue or a normal behavior. It sounds like Chopi is either drinking his water too quickly / too vigorously, or he is having trouble swallowing it for one reason or another. Depending on how often this is occurring, this might be something worth having checked out by you veterinarian. There are definitely structural issues in the mouth, esophagus, and upper respiratory tract that can result in difficulty swallowing. If it is a behavioral issue / OCD resulting in overly quick water consumption, there are device you can obtain that attempt to limit how quickly your dog laps up the liquid. You can also physically limit how much he drinks by simply moving the bowl away manually. I don't think this is something that you need to be running off to the vet about right away, but definitely something that is worth continuing to monitor for any worsening or changes. A cough associated with drinking can be a sign of dysfunction of the nerves that affect the larynx and the vocal cords. If you suspect that something is stuck in the throat, then do not try to remove it, because it can be pushed further in the airway and lead to a full obstruction. It's pretty rare that dogs actually get something stuck in the back of the throat. More likely her throat is irritated, or she has an infection like kennel cough. If the cough continues I'd recommend seeing your veterinarian: while it's difficult to see the very back of a dog's throat without sedation, your vet can help determine what is causing the cough.

If Stella is eating her treats too fast, that could be causing the choking. Try giving her treats in smaller pieces, not giving her another piece until she ate the previous piece. Keep an eye on her for now with this behavior, and offer her some water. Her throat may be irritated from choking. It sounds like Sophie may have a collapsing trachea. This is a common condition in toy breed dogs, and it occurs when dogs are exercising, drinking water, get excited, or in hot weather among other causes. I would take Sophie to the vet for an exam to confirm if she does have a collapsing trachea, as there is medical treatment that can be done for her, such as cough suppressant, bronchiodilators, antibiotics, and anti-inflammatory medications. If medical treatment doesn't help, surgery is recommended. You can help relieve by making sure Sophie isn't overweight, having her wear a harness instead of collar, and avoid respiratory irritants like cigarette smoke.

Majic needs to be seen by a veterinarian immediately. He could have a foreign body in his trachea, disease of his lungs/trachea like an infection, or even something called a collapsing trachea. Some of these causes can be life threatening and if he has an issue oral medications at home could make things worse.
