My dog is lethargic, vomiting clear mucus, not eating, and hiding. Why?

  This is very serious, and Munchie needs to see a vet immediately. He could have a foreign body, pancreatitis, or a severe GI disease. He needs medical treatment now for his symptoms, possibly including a shot to stop his vomiting and IV fluids. Please take him into a vet ASAP.

  Poor Musho sounds sick, and he could have GI illness, may have eaten something rotten, could have a foreign body, or pancreatitis. I can give you a home remedy for him to see if that helps. Feed him a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If he refuses to eat the bland diet, he vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet right away.   Hello. I am sorry that Darla is sick. Vomiting clear water either means that Darla is 'dry heaving' meaning that she is vomiting up just the fluid that is being produced in the stomach, even though there is no food, or she is vomiting up water that she is drinking. Either way this is a bad sign and concern for an obstruction in her gut. An obstruction would be consistent with not producing any poop as well. I strongly recommend that you bring Darla to a vet right away, as if she has an object stuck in her gut then it needs to come out as soon as possible, and will be fatal if not fixed. Other possible causes are viruses or severe gastritis/pancreatitis, but if they are this severe then the dehydration alone could be fatal. I suggest you bring Darla to the vet right now.
