Why is my dog suddenly lethargic, shaking, won't drink, dry nose?

Based on the symptoms you are describing, I would recommend having Zeus examined by a veterinarian so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. He may be in pain from a leg injury causing him to not want to move much and also could be affecting his appetite / thirst. Another possibility is that Zeus is currently dealing with Tick Paralysis. There are also other possible causes but these are just a couple. I would get him in sooner rather than later and if that means taking him in as an emergency, I would certainly do so. Poor Zeus! The shaking can be a sign of pain, which would cause him to not eat or drink. He could be in pain from an injury, such as a torn ligament or muscle, or he could be in pain from an illness or infection. If he had a foreign body stuck in his GI tract, for example, that would be painful and cause him to not want to eat or drink. I think it would be a good idea to take him into your vet today for an exam given how quickly his symptoms appeared. Your vet can determine what has caused him to have these symptoms, and how best to treat it.

Poor Brownie! The good news is that his nose being cold and wet is not a sign of illness in dogs. A dog's nose can go from cold and wet to warm and dry simply by lying in the sun or next to a heat source. It is concerning, however, that he is not eating or drinking, and is shaking and laying around. It is serious when a dog won't drink water, and I would have Brownie seen by a vet right away. This not eating and drinking could be caused by a systemic illness, infection, inflammation, or injury. He could be shaking because he has a fever. The vet can diagnose what is causing his symptoms, and can treat him for them. I would take him into a vet right away.

Your pet needs to be seen by a vet right away. Even with no other symptoms, extreme lethargy is very concerning. Your dog may have eaten something that disagreed with her, swallowed something that has caused an obstruction, has parasites, is coming down with some kind of infection, there are a number of possibilities. Your vet will do an exam and labwork to determine the cause of your pets symptoms and give you some treatment options based on those results.

Lee may have a viral infection or parasite burden causing him to be tired and lethargic. If he has vomiting or diarrhea he needs to go to the vet asap. Make sure that he is in a cool house with access to fresh water. If still not eating or drinking he needs to be evaluated by the vet to find out why.

It sounds like your dog needs to be examined by a vet to determine the cause. It is very concerning that he can't stand on his own and collapses. Your vet can run blood work and take an x-ray, if needed, to diagnose the problem and then determine the best way to treat. He could have a problem with his spine, heart disease, metabolic, endocrine problem, etc. Please call your vet and have him seen as soon as possible.
