Why are my dogs lethargic, not eating for days, and losing weight?

Oh dear! If Piper has not eaten in seven days and is acting lethargic, this is definitely not normal - she needs to see a veterinarian as soon as possible, as this sounds like a potentially life-threatening problem. I would recommend taking her to an emergency clinic tonight to be seen. The veterinarian there can do blood work and x-rays if needed to help diagnose the problem and see what kind of treatment is needed. If you're not sure where to take her, try calling your regular vet's office - their voicemail message should have contact information for your nearest ER or an on-call doctor for emergencies.

Unfortunately, lethargy and a decreased appetite both have multiple causes both major and minor. It could be anything such as infection, injury, a toxicity or any other number of conditions. Because she's been having these symptoms for several days, ideally, Zuki should be physically examined by your veterinarian. The description that you gave of Jex sounds very concerning. I would get him into a veterinarian for a thorough exam. He most likely will need some diagnostics to find out what is going on. There is a chance that he has eaten something foreign that has caused a partial obstruction, he could have pneumonia, and there are lots of other possibilities by the description that you have given. You need to take Hank into a vet right away. It's quite serious he hasn't eating for three days and is vomiting. He could have a severe GI illness, may have eaten something rotten, or could have a foreign body. He needs veterinary care immediately to diagnose what is causing these symptoms so he can be treated. Please take him into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. This is an emergency. If you suspect a pesticide you should call the pet poison control helpline. Otherwise, when I see older animals present this way through the ER I am very worried about abdominal bleeding from a tumor. I would not wait. He should be see by a vet ASAP.

I would be concerned that Bell hasn't returned to normal after 12-24 hours. While heat injury is possible usually dogs have issues sooner than now such as seizures, diarrhea, bruising and/or collapse. She could have a problem with her GI tract, something stuck in her esophagus or even a respiratory issues causing her changes. If she continues to cough, seems lethargic/lack of energy, or has any vomiting, diarrhea or continues to have a decreased appetite today she needs to be seen by a veterinarian. I would try calling your veterinarian today as they sometimes have an oncall service or an emergency veterinarian on call to answer questions as well.
