My dog is not getting up, not eating, limping, and feels hot. Why?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Female | spayed | 3 years and 2 months old | 64 lbs

my dog isn’t getting up or eating or even drinking water. she’s 3/4 and has never had health problems before. she’s a sharpei and she usually is active but not extremely active. and she’s limping and feels really hot. any ideas on what might be wrong?

Hello. I am so sorry Ginger is not feeling well. There are just so many things that could be causing her to feel unwell. Can you take her temperature rectally? Anything over 102.8 F would be an indication that she has an infection & probably needs to be on an antibiotic. Limping may indicate joint inflammation as we will see illness plus lameness with certain tick diseases such as Lyme's. If Ginger is not improving in the next day or so, she really needs to be assessed by your veterinarian. Only then can the proper treatment be started to get Ginger back to health.
