My dog Charlie is medium. Why are harnesses too loose or tight?

I agree with the yorkshire terrier given his coloration and border terrier, given his wirey coat appearance. I think he could also have cairn terrier in him too. You should only be able to fit 2 fingers underneath. You should be able to find a harness in her size. If you are going to leave it on all the time I typically then recommend a breakaway collar. That way if she gets it caught on something it automatically breaks. If it is just to go outside with you then a harness is a great idea, just make sure you remove it when you are done. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! He is adorable! He is a mixed breed dog but a predominant breed is hard to guess as he looks very well mixed. I would say that he has some characteristics of a Newfoundland and a Bernese mountain dog. I would say that he is likely to be a medium-sized breed dog to perhaps a bit larger. Good luck!

Hi and thanks for posting on Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Havenes dogs do not get very large- around 9 to 16 lbs on average. I would say an extra small pair of goggles would be okay if they can be adjusted as he grows. I hope this helps!

I love the Ruffwear harnesses. They are well constructed and allow full shoulder mobility while giving good support. I would contact them directly about the sizing. They are quite adjustable so I would go with the size that should fit her as an adult and hopefully you can adjust it smaller to fit now. From what i can see from the picture, Charlie looks perfectly fit and healthy.
