My dog has a hard, purplish lump on his hind leg armpit. What is it?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 11 years and 2 months old | 22 lbs

my pet dog Ricky has had a lump about 1.5cm wide grown on his hind legs armpit. It's a little hard and it's purplish in colour, can see some veins on the exterior skin. what is the probable cause base on the photos?

This loos like a mass and should get tested by your vet to see if tihs is cancerous or not. Due to the color it worries me for possible cancer, so further testing is highly recommended here.
