My dog has a hard bump on his paw and keeps licking it. What is it?

  Any lumps/bumps that you notice on your dog should be checked out by your vet. Lumps can be any of these things:
  
  * abscess (infection)
  * cyst
  * cancer (benign or malignant)
  * wart
  
  Unfortunately, there is no way I can tell you what it is with 100% certainty just based on your description or by looking at a photo but I have a strong suspicion that it is a benign histiocytoma.

  If this mass does not go away on it's own within a few weeks then she should see your vet.
  
  If she is licking it a lot you will need to get a cone collar to stop her from doing that.

  Poor girl. This looks like a mass or a blister on the foot. It most likely is a mass and could be a benign mass called a histiocytoma. To be sure I would recommend having your vet test this area.
  
  You can place an e-collar on her for now to keep her from licking the area and making it worse. You can purchase this from your local petstore. Also cleaning it with Betadine diluted 50:50 with water can help keep it from getting infected and help soothe it a little.

  It could really be anything without knowing a bit more information. Lumps, especially ones that change over a period of time or seem very irritating are concerning. It could be something as simple as an insect bite or wound if it just appeared. If it has been there a while it could be a cyst or even cancer. Lumps that have been there for a while or are especially bothersome should be checked out by a vet. They can aspirate it with a needle and check the cells inside to find out a cause and possible treatment

  That looks like a papilloma wart. It appears as though she has scratched or licked or irritated it. I always recommend a vet exam if an abnormal mass appears on the skin. I cannot diagnose over the internet with just a photo. An in-person exam (and sometimes testing) is needed to know for sure. I am just giving you my best guess based on the photos.
  
  While you are waiting to get her to the vet I suggest you apply a thin layer of Neosporin to it 2-3 times per day. if she is licking it you need to get her an E-collar (cone) to wear so she will stop that behavior.
