Why does my dog growl when leashing and get uneasy near food?

I would recommend hiring a trainer to come to your home. I feel that at this point if he is that aggressive when you are trying to take food from him them a trainer should be involved to help you learn commands on how to deal with the situation and teach Chewy about this situation also. I would recommend having a trainer come to your home and working with Chai. I would have them walk with you and Chai to see exactly what is going on and then work with you and her to help you control/fix the problem. I don't like the fact that she became aggressive towards the lady and so I would call someone as soon as possible. Your veterinarian should know someone who should e able to help you. If this is a new behavior I would recommend having your veterinarian do a full evaluation of Chai just to make sure there isn't anything medical going on with her. If these measures do not work, then I typically recommend using a service such as Bark Busters to come to your house and help correct this behavior. I would encourage you to contact a dog trainer that can work with you and her in person to really take care of this behavior. There are other, better ways to discipline a dog but at this time it is going to be difficult to correct without a professional trainer. Does she have fear aggression? I don't know because I have not witnessed the behavior myself so I can't say for sure. You need a professional dog trainer to come to your house and see the dog's behavior and how the dog interacts with everyone in the house. Only then can they make recommendations on how to correct the problem. Sometimes you need to work concurrently with a veterinarian as behavior modification medications may be needed in the beginning of the re-training. I would recommend working with a trainer with Kiwi. The trainer would come to your home and see exactly what her triggers are and how she behaves.
