My dad dog has had very loose watery green stool since between 4-7 last night accompanied by vomiting when I would take him to the bathroom. He hasn't vomited since 3 am and I'm fasting him but would canned pumpkin or sweet potatoes help? I was told that Green meant it was a gi issue so I'm not sure how to help?

Hi there! Sorry to hear that Casper is not feeling well. The clinical signs you describe are concerning for gastrointestinal conditions such as gastroenteritis, intestinal worms and dietary indiscretion, among other possibilities. The sooner these conditions are treated the better the outcome tends to be. For this reason, I recommend that you have Casper evaluated by your veterinarian to check for these possibilities and to start therapy based on findings. At the very least they address dehydration if present and start him on anti-nausea and anti-diarrhea medications. Good luck!
