My pug is gagging and hasn't pooped after vomiting. Is it an obstruction?

I am very concerned about Pilly, it sounds like he has a very upset stomach! My top concern would be a blockage in his intestines caused by something that he ate, like a toy, bone, sock, trash, etc. This would also prevent food from moving through his system and turning into feces. Other possibilities include bacterial or viral infection, intestinal parasites, or other internal issue. I recommend that Pilly see a vet as soon as possible. Your vet will probably recommend x-rays and maybe even blood work depending on what they discover during the physical exam.

I'm sorry Andro isn't doing well! Without seeing him in person, I am very limited in what I can do for him. I suggest giving him the medication, and if he keeps throwing up and refusing to eat, take him back into a vet immediately for further tests such as an x-rays or ultrasound.

It sounds as Meek is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material causing an obstruction (especially due to the fact that the vomit smells like poo). i would recommend taking him to the vet the first chance you get, he will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection he will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better.

I am very sorry to hear that Puffy is experiencing these problems, I am sure it is very unsettling for you both. There are a number of potential causes of such clinical signs, including dietary indiscretion, pancreatitis, forgein body obstruction, parasite infestation, infection, and ingestion of a toxin or poison. Because you have only noticed these signs over the course of a few hours I would continue to monitor Puffy at home. Rest Puffy's gastrointestinal tract by holding back food for a few hours. Then you can continue with a bland and easily digested food of the boiled chicken breast and white rice diet and provide plenty of fresh water. If Puffy does not improve, has nonstop vomiting or diarrhoea, you notice fresh blood, Puffy seems lethargic, in pain or depressed I would advise a trip to the veterinarian immediately. I am sorry to hear Blackie isn't feeling well. I would be very concerned about a GI foreign body. I recommend taking her to a vet ASAP for an exam and radiographs. Even if she is drinking water, she is not drinking enough to combat the vomiting and is probably dehydrated. Please do not give any more medications as you may be making things worse. Vomiting and inappetence can occur from many conditions such as foreign body ingestion and obstruction, pancreatitis, gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, among other possibilities. I am concerned that he could be showing signs of an obstruction which is something that requires therapy which sometimes includes surgery. I recommend that you have Jager evaluated by a veterinarian at this point for further assessment and treatment. This will likely require bloodwork and abdominal imaging in terms of diagnostics. Treatment would be based on findings. At the very least your veterinarian could start him on medications to make him feel better. In the meantime, keep water available at all times to try to prevent dehydration. Good luck and have a good night!

Sadly it is very possible that Onyx has a partial obstruction in the upper GI tract from swallowing the soft toy. I am glad that he is acting normally, but the vomiting after eating is very concerning. I recommend having him examined by a veterinarian and likely having x-rays taken to look for signs of an obstruction in the GI tract. The sooner, the better, to prevent possible damage to the GI tract, dehydration or more serious complications. Onyx may need surgery or a scoping procedure to remove an obstruction.
