My dog is sick, foaming, can't breathe. Need affordable vet help?

Pet's info: Dog | Boxer | Female | unspayed | 6 years and 4 months old | 45 lbs

My dog has been acting odd. Unlike her self. She has foam guck coming out of her nose and mouth. She can't breathe right. Has her mouth opened. I don't know what I can do to get her help. She sounds terrible. How can I get help for her? I am on a low income? She is my everything.

Ginger sounds extremely ill, and she has to see a vet immediately. If she can't breath right, she can quickly go into respiratory distress. You need to take her into an ER vet now. If paying for a vet is an issue, you can see if your vet accepts payment plans, if there is a low cost clinic in your area, or you can apply for Care Credit online. There is also an organization called Red Rover that give grants for treatment of sick animals, and you can see if you qualify for one of their grants.

This is a medical emergency, and Miley has to see a vet now. I see that she isn't spayed, and she could be suffering from a pyometra causing her symptoms. She needs veterinary attention right away, and I can give you some resources that may help you afford a vet. God's Creatures Ministry helps pay for veterinarian bills for those who need help. 
The Onyx & Breezy Foundation has many programs including helping people with medical bills. They are a good resource for information. 
Brown Dog Foundation provides funding to families with a sick pet that would likely respond to treatment, but due to circumstances, there is not enough money immediately available to pay.
IMOM is dedicated to insure that no companion animal has to be euthanized simply because their caretaker is financially challenged. 

Please take her into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website.

If Charlotte's breath is very bad, that does suggest dental problems. She likely is swallowing her teeth if they fall out, dogs do that. What to do if my dog is coughing white foam and I can't afford a vet?

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Gee Gee. Based on your description, she may have a respiratory tract infection. If she is eating, drinking and acting like herself, she may clear the infection on her own. If she is acting sick though, she will need to see a veterinarian. If she is congested at all, you can turn the shower to hot and let the steam build in the bathroom. Then place her in the bathroom to breathe the warm humid air. I hope this information helps!

At home, you can also try using a humidifier or bringing her into the bathroom with the door closed while you take a hot shower - the steam and humidity help to break up congestion and temporarily relieve symptoms associated with respiratory infections. Unfortunately, respiratory infections do typically require a visit to the vet for medications such as antibiotics, and I would recommend bringing her into one tomorrow. Dog sick, cold, not moving, and breathing heavily. Is it an emergency?

I sam so sorry that she’s not doing well. From what you describe, I’m very concerned about her and you need to seek emergency veterinary care immediately. Call your vet’s office even if they are closed—they likely have a recording for either how to contact the vet in case of an emergency, or information for the nearest vet clinic. There are many possible causes for what’s going on, but it sounds like at the very least she needs some IV fluids and some lab work and possible X-rays may be needed. I am so sorry there isn’t something I can suggest you do for her at home at this point, but if she’s just lying there, she seems cold, and her breathing is labored, you have got to get her to a vet.
