Dog fight: Swollen face & peeing accidents. Is vet needed?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Female | spayed | 71 lbs

My dog recently got into a fight. Is the side of her face being swollen and the fact she has been peeing on herself a problem or will that go away ?

I would be concerned the urinary accidents could be related to an infection and possibly internal injury but could also be down to fear and anxiety. I would recommend an urgent vet check before any kidney damage develops. Please arrange an appointment for her as soon as possible
