Can my dog eat peanut butter? Are store-bought cracker treats safe?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 4 months and 8 days old

As I have read some articles, peanut butter is not bad for dogs. Is it true? And if so, can I give Pocholo a store bought peanut butter cracker sandwiches?

You are correct. Peanut butter is ok to give your pet Pocholo. However it is fattening so please use your best judgement and not give this all the time or you will surely see an increase in weight and you can end up with an obese pet.
Also keep in mind that there are much safer and less caloric dog treats that you can give Pocholo instead. Because remember that peanut butter cracker sandwiches at the grocery are made for people to easily digest, not pets, which can lead to an upset stomach in some cases.
