My dog got into a fight with something. And it got his ear and side of his neck. The swelling as went up and down. He will let me touch it now but it's hard and swollen. He is still drinking and eating. I have been giving Benadryl I cannot afford a vet . I have kept wound and infection cream on it. Should I try to go to the vet to get antibiotics for him.

Hello and welcome to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
I'm sorry that Sabastion got in a fight. If there is still a lump present there there is likely infection present. Benedryl will not do anything for the pain or swelling as Benedryl only helps with swelling from a histamine reaction.
Keeping the wound clean and dry (do not put any topical stuff on it) is the best way to help the wounds at home.
Ideally he needs to see a vet, he is likely in pain and needs pain medications, and it sounds like he needs antibiotics as well. I strongly recommend you try to get him to a vet.
Best of luck with Sabastion!
