How can I give my Newfie's ears relief from the pain caused by an ear infection? He also has some welts, how can I treat those. I cannot afford a vet visit right now. I tried to take a picture of them.

While your dog’s ears are so inflamed it will be difficult to get them deeply cleaned. For now, and the first few days of treatment just flush the solution into the ear canal and massage at the base of the ear. Then let Cassius shake his head/ears. This will help remove the debris from the lower ear canal. After he has done this you can wipe out the excess cleaner and debris with a soft cloth.
If you are not seeing improvement in the ears within about 3 days I would recommend talking to your veterinarian about getting a medicated ear ointment as well.
The redness you are noticing all over is normal and probably a result of his generalized inflammation.
I hope this helps. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Best of luck.
