Why is my dog's ear down now after grooming? Is it an ear infection?

I am afraid, if she is still that irritated, you need to have his ears checked. The groomer could have damaged the ear drum or caused inflammation by not cleaning the ears correctly. If the ear drum was damaged, anything you apply to the ear will cause further damage. If the irritation still there tomorrow, please take Truffle to the vet for an ear exam.

Sometimes this can be contributed to developmental factors and the cartilage in the ear becomes more firm in a particular position. Sometimes an ear infection can cause an ear to lay differently then the other. The warm ears and sensitivity to getting them touched could be due to an ear infection. If Khloe got a bath at the groomers, water could have accidentally got into ears causing the infection. I'd have her seen by a vet for this problem tomorrow.

Oh my, Gemma is beyond adorable! It could be there is a problem with her ear such as an ear infection causing one to be down. I wouldn't be concerned about it, but it is something that I would have checked out by a vet. If she does have an ear infection, the vet can diagnose the cause of it (ear mites, yeast, bacteria), and can treat her for it. This might be a sign of a possible otitis (inflammation of the ear canal), but unless there is any sign of discomfort like scratching or shaking his head, there is no need to be worried about. You can have a look on the inside of the pinna (the external part) to see if there is any redness or swelling but otherwise I would not be worried about this sign. Well Marshall is about the cutest thing I have seen in awhile! If the injury on his ear caused a lot of build up of scar tissue, this could weigh down the ear a bit. Or if there is a build of fluid you may see the same result. I would recommend to have your vet do an exam to ensure there is nothing that needs to be done to help intervene. Either way, he is truly adorable with those big brown eyes.
