My dog drank iced coffee. Should I worry? What should I do now?

She likely didn’t get enough to cause a problem, but since she’s so small, watch for signs of excessive caffeine like panting, trembling, rapid heart rate, or any other change in behavior. Signs of caffeine toxicity MAY occur and would be similar to chocolate toxicity. I would not recommend to induce vomiting at this time based on the information you have given. However, the quantity of these products seems like a very small amount I think it is most like to not be a problem. The first signs you would be looking for are vomiting, diarrhea, agitation and/or hyper excitability. There is no such thing as a stupid question! You are correct - coffee is toxic to dogs due to the caffeine present and potential for heart side effects. However, the minimal amount of dry coffee that Nova may have licked from your hands is negligible and will not cause any side effects. She should be perfectly fine! :-)

But the good news is, I would not expect a single prepackaged coffee drink like this to contain enough of either one to cause any serious toxicity issues in a large-breed dog. If you see anything that concerns you, you can always take him to the vet to be checked.

Encourage him to eat and drink a lot of water, hopefully he didn't have a lot of it as coffee can be extremely toxic to dogs if ingested in large quantities (if this is the case- take him to the vet right away).
