My puppy drank coffee and is very hyper. What should I do right now?

I am sorry to hear about your concern for Sophie. I would recommend watching her closely tonight for signs of toxicity from the coffee. Hopefully she just ingested a small amount and will have no ill effects, but you want to watch for vomiting, diarrhea, hyperactivity/excitability, racing heart, tremors/muscle twitching, and seizures. Rowan will probably be just fine. The worst thing that may happen is some vomiting and/or diarrhea (like an upset stomach). If he does have these signs they are usually self-limiting meaning they will go away within 24 hours without treatment. If you see anything that concerns you, you can always take him to the vet to be checked.

Oh no, that's not good! Symptoms can occur with the consumption of 9 mg/pound of caffeine. I don't know how much Cassidy ingested, but you may see signs. I'd take him into the emergency vet now to be safe. Best of luck.

Signs of caffeine toxicity typically appear one to two hours after ingestion, and include vomiting, mild to severe hyperactivity, restlessness, increased heart rate, abnormal heart rhythms, tremors, elevated body temperature, seizures, and collapse. I would monitor her for those signs, and if you see any of them, take her into a vet immediately for treatment. It could be that she did not ingest enough caffeine to cause toxic symptoms, but it's best to know the signs just in case. Hopefully, she will be ok!

I wouldn’t be concerned about 2 coffee beans in a medium sized dog. She may be a little hyperactive for a few hours, but I don’t think there will be any other effects. I would not continue to induce vomiting.
