My husky has diarrhea, tried remedies. She won't drink. Vet time?

It could be due to intestinal parasites but it could also be something he ingested that has either caused a gastrointestinal infection or possibly an obstruction (foreign body). i would recommend taking him to your vet ASAP in order to get it checked and treated, he might need antibiotics to resolve this condition.

I would recommend bringing Onyx to your veterinarian. He is going to need supportive care including fluids and medication. He may need diagnostics including x-rays looking for a foreign body or blood work looking for pancreatitis. I would not wait much longer to bring him to the vet so he doesn't get any worse. Poor Cooper! The diarrhea could be due to many conditions including eating something he shouldn’t have, bacterial over growth, parasites or even organ disease. Just because he is not around other dogs does not mean he is immune to GI parasites. If the diarrhea has continued beyond 24 hours, I recommend to have him examined by the veterinarian. With continued diarrhea, there are often bacterial shifts in the gut that will make matters worse regardless of the initial cause. Make sure to bring in a sample of fresh stool. The doctor will check him for parasites and bacterial over growth. Many times a bland diet can help and then a slow, gradual introduction to the normal food can be done. A bland diet can consist of 25% boiled white meat chicken and 75% boiled white rice. This should all be plain. A good diet in general is Royal Canin. It is low residue and highly digestible. If the diarrhea has been going on more than 24 hours and Lj hasn't improved with bland food, probiotics, and Immodium, then it's time to see a vet. There are many possible causes of diarrhea: stress, dietary indiscretion, infection, parasites, and more serious issues such as inflammatory bowel disease, Addisons disease or cancerous changes. You've done a great job trying the simple initial interventions that can help - but if that didn't do the trick, then it's time to have Lj checked out. Hopefully it's still a simple cause that will respond to a course of medication, but sometimes further diagnostics or long-term therapy are necessary. Your vet will likely recommend starting with a fecal sample check to look for microscopic parasite eggs. Depending on exam findings, they may also recommend some initial screening bloodwork to evaluate general body function and help screen for some of the conditions that can be associated with diarrhea. Poor Medusa! Just like humans, there are many many causes of vomiting and some of the causes can be very serious. The blood in the stool is concerning for a more serious cause of illness. I recommend to have Medusa examined today by the veterinarian. She is likely going to have some major GI upset, especially if the treats contained a lot of fiber (which pumpkin does). Picking up her regular food and offering a bland diet of boiled chicken and rice may help with minor digestive upset and get her feeling better. If she doesn't pass stool, continues vomiting, seems very painful, has blood in her stool or vomit, or her stomach/abdomen look very bloated, painful or she is in distress, then it could indicate something more serious ongoing which should be seen ASAP by a vet.
